The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it is your call.
